OUR
STORY
At Holness, we believe that you are stronger than your anxiety! Anxiety is a thief that robs us of joy, peace and contentment. It keeps us up at night, invades our thoughts and hijacks our emotions.
We come alongside our clients to combine counseling, coaching, the principles of neuroplasticity and the power of nutrition to help them gain control of their anxiety!
We also know a thing or two about Adult ADD and know that it doesn't have to control your life. We provide practical coaching to help our clients learn to manage the symptoms of ADD and thrive despite the diagnosis.
While in graduate school for Speech Language Pathology in the 90's, Carly developed a passion for studying the brain while working as a research assistant. She then went on to use this passion in working with scores of brain injury patients over the years. While working with these patients, she began to see just how amazing the brain is and had a front row seat to witness the wonder of neuroplasticity. Patients that were given a dim prognosis for rehabilitation were making unexpected strides as their brain began to form new connections.
She also began to see how therapy was changing the anxiety levels of her patients and realized that there must be a way to utilize the principles of neuroplasticity to help those that struggle with anxiety. She began extensive research into the neuroscience of anxiety.
Having struggled with anxiety her entire life, she was eager to find a program that would work.
After much research, she created a program that combined the principles of neuroplasticity with a holistic approach to anxiety management and developed a program that has helped many clients find the freedom that comes when anxiety no longer has a grip.
She works with clients individually at her office in Mocksville, NC or virtually, leads small group classes both in-person and virtually and teaches her program to others across the country so that they can integrate this program into their practice as well.
She has also done extensive research on Adult Attention Deficit Disorder and coaches clients to learn to manage their symptoms, thrive and find productivity despite the diagnosis.
